Potomac Vintage Riders York Swap Meet Highlights, 2010 January 24

The York swapmeet is billed as the "largest indoor vintage swapmeet on the East Coast", but I don't believe it. It took about an hour to see it all if you weren't interested in vintage dirt bikes.

There were NO Guzzi parts/vendors, almost no Italian stuff, almost no BMW stuff, no Norton stuff (what I was looking for), and just TWO vendors with a display of Triumph parts. The swap meet was about 90% vintage dirt bikes and parts for same. There wasn't even much Harley stuff.

So unless you were looking for vintage dirt bike stuff, or you lived right around the corner, I wouldn't bother with this show. At least it was cheap admission at $6.

Apparently, OUTSIDE the swap meet, in the parking lot, a few people were selling bikes off of trailers, and there was some interesting machinery there. On the other hand, it was cold and drizzling when we left and walking about the parking lot wasn't that interesting a proposition.

Here is a slide show of the bikes I thought were interesting in the inside swap meet.
